The Khans[Shahrukh, Salman & Aamir] are getting older and they are in their forties. They are slowly moving into important character roles after ruling the industry last two decades. Akshay and Saif, who are doing well currently and are in peak of their career but they are also getting older. We can't expect them in romantic roles. If you look at the younger generation of actors, we have Hrithik Roshon, Abhishek Bachan, Vivek Oberai, Shahid Kapur, John Abraham, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Ranbir Kapoor, who are the future of the bollywood. Hrithik is best among all, be it on looks, acting or dance but he has become very choosy like Aamir Khan and does one film a year. We don't see much of him. He is also happily married family person, which sounds little boring with no controversies. Abhishek Bachan is great talent but he has the burden of being Amitabh Bachan Son and Aishwariya Rai's husband. So competition is in home. He would be always compared to his father. Both his father and wife are more successful then him.
Vivek Oberai was one more talented actor and had great potentials to rule the hindi film industry. He did one major mistake in his life and that was taking guard against the most bad boy of the bollywood Salman Khan. After that, Vivek Oberai's career has not taken off the way he started bang with Company and Saathiya. Now he is more into playing supporting characters to main leads. Shahid Kapur has had two major solo success with 'Vivaah' and 'Jab We Met'. He is very good actor and is very talented dancer but he misses the charishma in him and may be thats the reason, Kareena left him for Saif Ali Khan. Shahid Kapur needs to come out of his next boy door image and needs to prove himself in tougher image roles and do some serious action movies. John Abraham is top class looking model but his looks are his enemy. He doesn't fit into all kind of characters. John Abraham is not good with dance also. He may have his set of fans but he is not superstar material. As an actor also, i don't rate him high. Neil Nitin Mukesh is another very good actor. We can feel the potential with his first movie 'Johny Gaddar'. I won't be able to judge him so early. I would like to see him in typical hindi films.
Ranbir Kapoor is the most promising actor of this younger generation and could be the next superstar in making. He is from family of superb actors like Prithvi Raj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and his own father Rishi Kapoor. Ranbir Kapoor is the most good looking Kapoor and also the best dancer in the family. There was certain charishma, when i watched him in 'Saawariya'. May be he didn't choose the right subject for the debut film. After watching him in 'Bachna Hai Haseeno', i felt Ranbir is very charismatic and you feel like watching him constantly onscreen. Ranbir Kapoor is the most good looking actor in Hindi film Industry currently more then Salman Khan and also Hrithik Roshon. He is equally good dancer like Hrithik and Shahid. As an actor, we need to watch him in few more roles before we could give a judgment but he has the potenital in him. I feel, he has better comic timing then most of the younger actors of this generation. In future, we could see rivalary between Hrithik Roshon and Ranbir Kapoor. The future seems to be bright for Ranbir Kapoor. But Khans [Shahrukh, Salman & Aamir] still rule but they have tough fight in hands.
