Irresponsible Youngsters

Recently one of my far away relative expired due to accident of his bike with Bus in Kanpur. He was just twenty year old and had just completed his twelfth standard. I pray god for peace to his soul but somewhere we are all saddened by his death. It was unexpected and uncalled for. He has not even lived his life. Life is sometime very cruel. His parents are shattered and heart broken but life has to continue. These days accidents in roads have increased in India. One of the reason is the increased number of vehicles, both two wheelers and four wheelers. The amount of traffic has increased everywhere. Most of them don't abide by traffic rules. Before the signal is green, the vehicles move ahead. The traffic policemens are also not able to handle the traffic. Most of them are very corrupt. They do catch people, who break the traffic signal but take some money from them and leave them. We have to bring traffic sense across the people. Some of them want to show off their speed in the road and try racing in main roads itself. People have become more impatient.

The most of the youngsters are very irresponsible and also arrogant on the road, while riding their bike and car. For them, life is a risk and there is race going on main road. They want to take part in every race. Most of the major accidents in India involve youngsters. Why do we give licence to youngsters below 21? The youngsters shouldn't be given with driving licence before they turn 21. The parents have to be more responsible citizens and do not give their children two wheelers or four wheelers before they learn to respect the freedom of others and are responsible towards society. Wearing helmets should be made compulsary for person riding the two wheelers and also for person, who is sitting back. If there is accident also, you can save youself from head injuries. We need to have speed limits on the road. May be speed of 40 in traffic and speed of 60 to 70 in highways. There should be lesson of traffic rules in school and colleges and also training on first aid. People should carry first aid box with themselves in their vehicles. We youngsters need to be more responsible and shouldn't play with life, be it our life or others life.
